🎉 AgentWP is now in Public Beta Testing.
As the jet lag and post WCEU'24 blues wears off, I wanted to put some of my personal thoughts together and publish them on our (WordPress-powered) blog.
WordCamp EU 2024 🇮🇹 for the AgentWP / WPAI team can be summed up in 1 word: Inspirational.
We didn’t have any primary agenda going into this WordCamp. We’re still a bit early to be sponsoring, signing contracts, or having a big booth.
Instead, I hoped to speak to old friends, introduce our ideas to new ones, and gather feedback on AgentWP. Unexpectedly, both Greg and I found that everybody already knew what we were working on.
Since our launch, we’ve known we’re building something special, and have long been excited by the possibilities of applying AI to the CMS that powers 43% of the web. But we’re a remote company in a remote industry. We’ve chatted with dozens of agency owners, end users, and hosts online. People have shared our waitlist referral link. I’ve received many DMs with thoughts, questions, and ideas from the community.
But you just don’t feel the love and excitement like you do at a WordCamp event.
There aren’t many places that bring together the CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies, enthusiasts, and everybody in between. It was awesome to chat with the people behind the products, web hosts, investors, founders, developers, end users, and so many other types of people - all brought together by our incredible industry.
The excitement for AgentWP was palpable. There aren’t many industries that will even listen to a small startup. However, it’s clear that people are not just interested in what we’re building, but genuinely ready to begin using it. We never thought that almost everybody would know AgentWP; half the people we spoke to were already on our waitlist!
It's also great to see that the core project, and massive solutions like Woo have their boots on the ground, and are actively seeking feedback.
Now that we’re back in Austin, Texas 🇺🇸, we’re incredibly energized to bring the best possible AI solution to WordPress as soon as we can. We’ve always been obsessed with our mission, but this event has given us the rocket fuel we need to build and release a magical Agent for WordPress.
We can’t wait to incorporate your incredible ideas and feedback into future versions of our product, announce the partnerships that were seeded at this event, and truly … Do Anything WordPress!
It’s our goal to have a larger presence at the next WCEU in Basel, Switzerland 🇨🇭. So if you see us there (maybe with a booth), don’t hesitate to stop by!
👋 Until next year, WCEU!
We're headed to WordCamp Europe 2024 and would love to meet you in person!

- Anything else that springs to mind
Schedule Some Time
Please schedule some time if you'd like to connect with our team.
We have incredible news to share with you today: AgentWP has entered the public alpha phase! This means that users beyond our team, stakeholders, and close friends can now access and use AgentWP - for free (for the duration of testing).
We are gradually inviting more and more users from our waitlist to join the public alpha and experience AgentWP firsthand. This milestone is the result of months of hard work and nearly a year of meticulous planning from our team of 7.
The Power of AgentWP
AgentWP is not just another chatbot; it's a one-of-a-kind AI designed specifically for the WordPress ecosystem. With expert knowledge of the latest WordPress version and its vast array of plugins, AgentWP is set to change the way people interact with the world's most popular content management system.
What makes AgentWP truly unique is its ability to take action on behalf of the user - a true AI agent. It's not just a tool for answering questions; it can actually streamline and simplify WordPress management like never before.
If you've been following our journey, you've probably used CodeWP – the best AI platform for WordPress coding. We've learned a lot from building this platform and training the underlying AI models.
We're stoked to bring that knowledge as well as some of the underlying systems over to AgentWP, and we're planning to integrate CodeWP and AgentWP in the future (more info). For now, AgentWP will steer clear of coding (other than acting as a reference and suggesting simple code snippets).
Public Alpha Testing Phase
During this public alpha testing phase, we will be working diligently to identify and resolve any major issues and squash bugs. Our goal is to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience for everyone.
Once we complete the alpha testing, we will move into a public beta phase. During this time, both waitlist members and the general public will be able to subscribe to a read-only version of AgentWP, allowing even more people to experience its capabilities.
New Website
To coincide with the launch of AgentWP's public alpha, we are also excited to unveil our brand new website. Designed with user experience in mind, our new site provides a wealth of information about AgentWP's features, benefits, and potential applications. We'll be extending it over the coming weeks with detailed information about it's capabilities, integrations, and more.
The Value of AgentWP
Even in its earliest form, it's clear that AgentWP has the potential to offer immense value to individual users. We can't wait to receive real-world feedback from people like you to help shape the future of this innovative product.
We welcome a wide range of users to join us in this exciting journey. Whether you're an individual who owns a WordPress website, a professional freelancer building sites for clients, an agency managing multiple projects, or an enterprise like a large agency or web host, AgentWP has something to offer you.
Join Us!
We firmly believe that AgentWP has the power to benefit all facets of the WordPress industry. By joining our waitlist, you can be among the first to experience this game-changing tool.
We are committed to putting AgentWP in your hands as soon as possible. As we continue to refine and enhance the product throughout the public alpha and beta phases, your feedback and support will be invaluable to us.
Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks and months. We look forward to collaborating with the WordPress community to create a more efficient, user-friendly future for everyone.
At AgentWP, we're always looking for ways to improve the WordPress ecosystem. As a product deployed on thousands of unique WordPress sites, we have a unique perspective on the challenges faced by plugin developers and users alike.
That's why we're thrilled to announce our upcoming Compatibility API, designed to help plugin developers identify and resolve potential conflicts more efficiently.
A Game-Changer for Plugin Developers
Our Compatibility API will be part of the Plugin Developer Portal we offer. This portal is designed to help developers ensure that AgentWP provides accurate information about their plugins, and now, it will also grant access to the Compatibility API.
By signing up for this service, plugin developers will receive notifications about potential compatibility issues and suggested resolutions. This will help them stay ahead of the curve and provide a better experience for their users.
How It Works
Let's say a popular page builder releases a major update that breaks forms created with a specific plugin. With AgentWP deployed on a large number of user websites, we can quickly identify this issue.
If the issue reaches a certain threshold and AgentWP has identified a fix, we'll create an issue report and make it available on our platform. While it's the developer's responsibility to resolve the problem, AgentWP will provide potential solutions based on aggregate information from hundreds or thousands of individual websites.
This means that plugin developers will have access to real-world data and insights that they may not have had before, helping them create more robust and compatible plugins.
Privacy Is Our Priority
We know that privacy is a top concern for our users, and we take it very seriously. That's why all the data collected and shared through the Compatibility API is fully anonymized.
We simply identify issues at scale and notify developers of potential problems, without compromising individual user information. Your privacy is our priority, always.
Our Commitment to the WordPress Community
At WPAI Inc., we're dedicated to leveraging AI to drive innovation and solve complex problems within the WordPress ecosystem. With AgentWP and the upcoming Compatibility API, we aim to automate various aspects of building and managing WordPress sites, while fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among developers.
We believe that our unique position in the industry allows us to positively impact the WordPress community as a whole. By providing tools like the Compatibility API, we can help developers create more robust and compatible plugins, ultimately benefiting the millions of WordPress users worldwide.
Join Us in Shaping the Future of WordPress
We're excited about the potential of the Compatibility API and the Plugin Developer Portal to transform the way plugin developers work. By joining forces and sharing knowledge, we can create a more efficient, secure, and user-friendly WordPress experience for everyone.
If you're a plugin developer, we invite you to sign up for the Plugin Developer Portal and be among the first to access the Compatibility API. Together, let's harness the power of AI to build a better WordPress.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Compatibility API and other exciting features from AgentWP. We can't wait to see what we can achieve together.
As the team behind CodeWP, the AI code generation tool for WordPress, we have used our experience and expertise to develop AgentWP, a product that stems from user requests, research, and insights gained while building and operating CodeWP.
Initially, CodeWP and AgentWP will be separate products, each focusing on different aspects of WordPress management. CodeWP will remain our dedicated tool for code generation, helping WordPress creators, developers, and agencies create custom code snippets, plugins, and solutions.
AgentWP will focus on end-users, offering features to streamline website management, such as layout optimization, bug fixes, design experimentation, performance optimization, security scans, and content creation.
Over the next 6-8 months, both products will undergo parallel development, benefiting from the AI research and development carried out by the WPAI team. We will work to refine the accuracy of our AI models and conduct thorough testing to ensure a smooth and error-free experience for our users.
As AgentWP evolves and reaches feature parity with CodeWP, we plan to migrate all subscriptions and user accounts from CodeWP to AgentWP's equivalent plans.
This will streamline our offerings and ensure that all our users have access to the full range of AI-powered tools for WordPress management under a single platform. After the migration, we expect to retire the CodeWP platform and brand, with this product merge anticipated to occur within 8-14 months from now (March, 2024).
Please keep in mind that this is our current plan, and as with any development roadmap, things may change as we adapt to new technologies, user feedback, and market demands. We are committed to keeping you informed of any updates or changes to our plans, and we value your input as we continue to refine and improve our products.
We are looking forward to the future of AgentWP and CodeWP, and we aim to provide you with advanced and user-friendly AI tools for WordPress. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. Thank you for being a part of the WPAI community.
